358: Creating an Irresistible Offer

Having an Offer They Cannot Refuse

Being an entrepreneur is a lot harder than being an employee. No matter how much you love what you do, if you don't communicate the value of what you do in a way that's appropriate and appealing to people, no one's going to dig in and buy it. With that said, it is crucial to have an offer that people can't refuse.

In this episode of the Social Media Marketing Happy Hour, Dawn and Traci talk about how to create an irresistible offer that’s sure to catch the attention of your target audience and improve your chances of getting more sales.

Creating an irresistible offer must be on your to-do list this 2016, especially if you plan on building an email list, selling info products, or generating leads. An irresistible offer is a surefire way of attracting people to your business. It is one of the most powerful magnets that will pull in more and more customers or clients, if done properly.

So what are the essential points in you must never forget when creating an irresistible offer?

Know your target market and audience.

A common error entrepreneurs make is that they don't go deep enough into their avatar and they don't really get who their audience is. So they end up not knowing how they are supposed to handle them. You should know your demographics and know who you are talking to, because you can't talk to everybody the same way. What may be appealing to a certain group might not spark even the tiniest bit of interest in another group. Like if you are selling a weight loss supplement, if you create your offer focusing on getting that bikini body, this offer will not appeal to men who want to get fit for health reasons as it will to women who want to become sexy.

Make offers that are geared toward solving a problem.

It’s not enough to know them, you have to understand their pain and pleasure points too. If it doesn't solve a problem or it doesn't appeal to the audience, they won't pay attention to it. For example, if you’re selling diaper bags, your target is women with babies. Your offer then would be something that will draw the interest of that specific group of people because they can relate to it and they feel like your offer will be the answer to their questions, problems or even their pleasures. You have to ask yourself if it is addressing either the pain or the pleasure point.

Put up a good number of testimonials.

More often than not, people check testimonials to get feedback on your experience, credibility, reliability, and the quality of service of your business. If you have a good track record, it will show in your testimonials. The reason why most people trust testimonials is because the people writing them have tried and tested your product or service and we have this mindset that if it worked for them, it could work for us too.

Focus more on the transformation that you're going to provide.

Most entrepreneurs get worked up on how they are going to deliver the offer and end up missing it because they focused on the wrong thing. For example, when you are writing a blog. You need a good and enticing headline that will show people what they can get out of it. Show them the benefits or advantages they can gain just by listening or reading your offer.

Have a reliable guarantee.

When you have a guarantee on the product or service you are selling, people will feel more secure with their purchase. They feel that their money is safe and will be returned to them. For example, you can offer a 30 day money back guarantee if the customer is not satisfied. The longer your guarantee, the more people will think of buying.

Next week we'll talk about how to deliver on your irresistible offer. We don't just want to be able to sell, we should also make sure we actually deliver on our promises.
