327: #AskHappyHour: Best Tools For Content Management

Content Management Tools You Should Have

Tools make life easier. Period. Whether you are a social media manager or you simply manage social media for your own business, tools are key. There are some tools that should be part of your operating cost of doing business because what they do for you is invaluable in terms of time. In this episode of the Social Media Marketing Happy Hour, Dawn and Traci answer a listener's question about their opinion on the best tools to use for content management.

There are tools you can use across multiple platforms and there are also tools that you should use on a specific platform only. This is because it might be way more effective on that platform compared to others. Once you figure out what tool shines for your business and you start using it, you'll be able to manage content like a pro.

What are the best tools to use for content management?

SocialOomph is an amazing tool we use for Twitter. We are able to post multiple Tweets and recycle those Tweets.  It costs only around $12-$13 a month. On Happy Hour, we tweet every 15 minutes, so imagine how much time it will take you to physically write those tweets. That's a huge chunk of your time that could have been allotted to something more important. Hootsuite is also a great tool especially when you want to schedule posts on Facebook. The thing about it is, you have to manually schedule them and once they are up, they don't get recycled, unlike SocialOomph.

Sprout Social and Edgar are also awesome tools that have a lot of features, but they are on the pricey side. If you're not on a tight budget, you might want to try these two. Post Planner helps us manage and create content, especially for Facebook. For Instagram, we found that these 3 tools can also work wonders for you: Manage Flitter, Iconasquare.com and Latergram.me.

Having these content management tools in play is like having a well-oiled machine! You'll be able to plan ahead, schedule, and post as you wish and you won't have to go through the frustration and pressure of realizing you have nothing to post. With these tools, you'll be able to take control of your business and not have it control you. You'll have more time for more important matters an even for leisure and family. Of course you can hire a VA, but if you pay someone to manually do the work versus having these systems, it will cost you more.
